Dr. James Field receives IWA Fellows Award

On September 2nd, 2016, the International Water Association (IWA) announced the appointment of new IWA Fellows. Dr. James Field, UA SRP Investigator was appointed as one of the IWA Fellows for his outstanding contribution to the water sector and to IWA.  IWA Fellows are nominated for their significant contributions as an engineer, educator, utility manager, regulator, researcher, engineer, scientist, or as a technical leader.

Dr. Field’s UA SRP Project investigates the key physical and biogeochemical processes that control migration and attenuation of mine-drainage contaminants in groundwater. His team is developing and testing innovative methods for the remediation of contaminated groundwater at hardrock mining sites.

Feeling honored to have been nominated for the IWA Fellows Award, Dr. James Field said: “It is very satisfying to be recognized by colleagues, many of who are my close friends from around the world”

New IWA Fellows will be honored at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2016 that will take place in Brisbane, Australia in October 9-14, 2016. The UA SRP congratulates Dr. Field on this outstanding achievement!
