Diksha Manhas wins 2 poster prizes for her research work as a Project 2 postdoctoral researcher and RETCC trainee.

Congratulations to postdoctoral researcher and RETCC trainee Diksha Manhas, who received two prestigious poster awards this spring for her research on how environmental contaminants alter xenobiotic metabolism in the brain and contribute to neurotoxicity.
At the 2026 ASPET Annual Meeting, Diksha received an ASPET Travel Award, was selected to give an invited oral presentation, and earned Second Prize in the Postdoctoral Poster Competition. She noted that her research "…provides new insights into how environmental contaminants may influence neurotoxicity and chemical-induced DNA damage."
At the 2026 Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting, Diksha received the Conklin-Sheevers Endowed Award from the Regulatory Safety Evaluation Specialty Section for research showing that environmental exposure to PCB-11 may alter brain xenobiotic metabolism, with potential implications for neurotoxicity and the metabolism of neuroactive drugs.
