Jay Gandolfi Honored with Career Achievement Award

Dr. A. Jay Gandolfi, former Director of the University of Arizona Superfund Research Program (UA SRP), was recently honored with a Career Achievement Award. He received the award in the Metals Specialty section of the 2013 Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting, held in San Antonio, TX, March 10-14, 2013. The award was given in recognition of outstanding achievement as a researcher, mentor, and leader in the field of metals toxicology.   Dr. Gandolfi said that he was very proud to receive the award, but humbly thanked his students and colleagues for helping to perform the work, of which he was a “caretaker”.
