Trainee Juliana Gil-Loaiza receives award at Earth Week 2013

Congratulations to University of Arizona Superfund Research Program (UA SRP) graduate trainee Juliana Gil-Loaiza on winning the second place oral presentation award at Earth Week 2013. The annual event is held in April by the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. Ms. Gil-Loaiza is a student in the laboratory of UA SRP Director Dr. Raina Maier. She presented her work, “Scaling Phytostabilization from greenhouse to field-scale at the Iron King Mine and Humboldt Smelter Superfund site” at the Soil, Water, and Environmental Science oral presentation session.
