Training Core Student Linnea Herbertson Wins Poster Award

University of Arizona Superfund Research Program (UA SRP) Training Core student Linnea Herbertson won an award for her poster at the Arizona Imaging and Microanalysis Society Annual Conference. The conference was held March 7, 2013 in Tucson, AZ. Ms. Herbertson works with mentor Dr. Raina Maier, UA SRP Director. Her winning poster was entitled, "Assessing Bacteria Colonization of Plant Roots for Bio-indicators of Phytostabilization Sustainability Using Fluorescent in situ Hybridization." The award was given for demonstrating advanced skill and technique in microscopy and included a $150 prize!
