Dr. Xinxin Ding, Associate Director of the University of Arizona Superfund Research Center (UA SRC), was named a 2023 American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) Fellow.

"I am humbled," said Dr. Ding. "It's a great honor and I will take it as a reminder to work harder for my fellow pharmacologists."

ASPET Fellows have dedicated their careers to the field of pharmacology and have made exceptional contributions to its advancement. To be recognized is a prestigious honor bestowed on the Society's most distinguished members.

Dr. Ding has contributed to ASPET in several ways, by serving as Editor-in-Chief for ASPET's journal Drug Metabolism and Disposition, ASPET Council as secretary/treasurer, and on several of its committees, including the publications committee and the journals taskforce.

Dr. Ding has served as head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy for over five years.

"Our college is playing important roles in advancing the field of pharmacology," he said. "Our faculty conducts cutting edge pharmacology research. They regularly publish their research findings in ASPET journals and they serve ASPET and pharmacology in various professional capacities, such as editors or editorial board members and division leaders.
