UA SRC Director Dr. Xinxin Ding Updates

Dr. Xinxin Ding, Director of the University of Arizona Superfund Research Center (UA SRC) and Project 2 PI, presented his latest work at multiple venues.

On April 18, 2024, Dr. Xinxin Ding was a guest speaker for the Wayne State University Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Center for Urban Responses to Environmental Stressors (P30 ES020957) seminar series. He talked about his research on the metabolic mechanisms of chemical toxicity in the lung.

On May 2, 2024, Dr. Ding presented his work at the Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology Department at Purdue University.

On May 10, 2024, he presented his work at the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

In July 2024, Dr. Ding attended the 25th International Symposium on Microsomes and Drug Oxidations (MDO) in Prague, Czech Republic; he was chair of the international organizing committee for the meeting and presented his recent work on dissecting hepatic and extrahepatic contributions to xenobiotic metabolism using transgenic mouse models. The MDO is a biennial international meeting series for scientists studying metabolism, disposition, and adverse effects of xenobiotics.
