Bio
I was introduced to research during my second year of undergrad at St. Louis College of Pharmacy where I worked in a zoology lab studying the Northern Watersnake sex pheromone. I worked in a microbiology lab as well, looking into the increase of Salmonella in captive vs wild reptiles in collaboration with the St. Louis Zoo. I changed gears in my senior year of undergrad and began working in a medicinal chemistry lab under Kalyan Venkata, PhD, and wrote my Masters thesis on a novel approach to synthesize 3-aminoindole compounds using green chemistry. My current research interests include environmental toxicology, drug metabolism and disposition, and disease prevention.
